Weekly News Update - April 22, 2019

CONGRATULATIONS to MHS junior and choral tenor, Matthew McGrory, who was selected to perform in the 2019 NAfME (National Assoc. for Music Education) All-Eastern Honors Ensemble in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  He was one of 800 of the most musically talented high school students in the Eastern region of the United States in the All-Eastern Chorus, Band, Orchestra, and Jazz Band.  Matthew had the opportunity to sing under renowned choral conductor, Rollo Dilworth (Temple University) throughout an amazing rehearsal process and performance ---one he will remember for a lifetime!

Did you know that MHS has a figure skating club?

This small but mighty group (named the Medfield Blades) recently participated in a skating club championship competition in Reading MA.  Sophia McAvoy (gr. 10, at left) and Catherine Callahan (gr.11, at right) captured the GOLD MEDAL in the team compulsories, besting teams from as far away as Burlington, VT.   Congrats to all (including coach and club advisor, Joanna Zehme)! GO WARRIORS!
